Marketing Director for the Nissan operations in central Europe

BIOGRAPHY: Jean-François Reynaud graduated in Social Sciences (majoring in Economics and Law) at Université Pierre Mendès-France, Grenoble (France, 1987) spending his graduation year at Sussex University in the UK. Moving on to management studies he post-graduated at the Institut d’Administration des Entreprises in Aix-en-Provence (France, 1988) and went on specialising in his favourite field, Marketing, with a Master Diploma at ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales – Paris-Cergy, 1989). His career in the automotive industry started right afterward at Renault, alternating sales and marketing positions in France and the UK. His last position at Renault was global product manager for the Mégane and Scenic product ranges. During his time as a product manager he also served as an expert on product management and business planning processes to implement in the Alliance that Renault and Nissan formed in March 1999. He was then nominated General Manager for Primera Marketing at Nissan Europe in July 2000. In September 2002 he was made Marketing Director for the Nissan brand in Spain, where purchase intention has been raised at 4,2% by the end of 2007, while Note, at 12% segment share, and the combination of the 4x4 and LCV range, at 10,21% share achieve best european levels in 2007. On February 1st, 2008, he was made Marketing Director for the Nissan operations in central Europe, covering the 4 markets of Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
